Friends of the Library to hold book sale on Thursday

The Friends of the Minot Public Library, a nonprofit group committed to supporting the city library, will hold a book sale in the Hidden Treasures room at the library, 516 2nd Ave. SW, on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

“This will be a one day only sale to help raise some money for the Friends of the Library and also help us clear the Hidden Treasures book sale room for the big spring sale,” said Library Director Janet Anderson in information provided by the library. “Our staff and volunteers have been sorting donations and are trying to stock the book sale room with some nice items that could make great holiday gifts or even be used for craft projects.” Items available at the sale include magazines, DVDs, CDs, large print books, fiction, nonfiction, and more. The majority of these items are received as donations from the public and Anderson says the Library is often overwhelmed with donated items and hope to find “new homes” for all of them.

The book sale is open to the public. No prices are assigned to any of the items in the Hidden Treasures book sale room; shoppers are simply encouraged to pay whatever they can. All proceeds from this book sale go to the Friends of the Library.
