Above average temperature in November
The past month of November had an average temperature of 32.2 degrees “which was 4.9 degrees above the 114-year, long-term average of 27.4 degrees,” according to Austin Kraklau of the North Central Research Extension Center, south of Minot.
Kraklau said the lowest temperature of the month was -3 degrees on Nov. 25. The high was 63 degrees on Nov. 7.
He said the total moisture for the month was “0.48 inches which is 0.26 inches below the long-term average of 0.74 inches”.
The total snowfall for the month was 0.7 inches which is 5.3 inches below the long- term average of 6.0 inches, according to Kraklau.
The National Weather Service forecasts a slight chance of rain and snow this morning, then rain, and again a slight chance of snow on Saturday. Temperatures will range from the 40s today to into the 30s and high 20s for the rest of the week.
