Shawn Berryhill, Doddi Erickson charged with drug offenses
Shawn Joseph Berryhill, 32, Minot, is charged with Class C felony possession of methamphetamine and Doddi Ruth Erickson, 29, Minot, is charged with Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia in district court in Stanley. Also with them in a car stopped Sunday night in Mountrail County was Michael Anthony Razzano, 32, of Minot, who has been charged with Class B felony possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, Class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and Class A misdemeanor providing false information to law enforcement.
According to a police affidavit, Erickson was the driver of the vehicle. A Mountrail County deputy stopped the vehicle because it did not have a license plate and the deputy could not read the date on a temporary tag in the rear window. Erickson and Berryhill both gave the deputy identification but Razzano allegedly gave the deputy a fake name. One deputy saw a syringe in the passenger side rear door and a backpack containing five syringes and a digital scale. None of the occupants of the vehicle claimed the bags as belonging to them. A further search of the vehicle turned up a prescription pill bottle in the passenger side rear door where Razzano had been seated. The prescription had been scraped off the bottle. Razzano, whom Erickson told deputies goes by the street name “Rizzo,” was searched and was found to be carrying a bag containing suspected methamphetamine attached to his jacket.
Razzano, who was convicted in 2018 in district court in Ward County of possession with intent to deliver illegal narcotics, was also wanted on outstanding warrants in other cases in Ward County.
Erickson has a pending felony theft charge in district court in Ward County dating back to last year. Berryhill has a 2016 conviction in district court in Ward County for intent to deliver methamphetamine.
