Maddison Marie Stracener, 21, Minot, is charged in district court in Minot with Class B felony possession of methamphetamine in a correctional facility, Class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia, both infractions.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Stracener was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped on Saturday evening in Ward County. The driver, Coty Thomas, was arrested on outstanding warrants. Stracener was found to be in possession of a meth pipe, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested and taken to jail, where correctional officers did a body cavity search. That search turned up a baggie of suspected methamphetamine.
Stracener was scheduled to make an initial appearance on the charges on Monday before Judge Gary Lee.
