Faith Jeannotte, Minot, charged with possession of stolen checks, drug offenses

Faith Marie Jeannotte, 34, Minot, is charged in district court in Minot with two counts of Class C felony theft. She allegedly was in possession of multiple stolen check blanks belonging to other people, some of which were written out to herself. The owners of the check blanks said they had not written out checks to Jeannotte, according to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court.

Jeannotte has also been charged with Class C felony possession of methamphetamine, Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia and Class A misdemeanor possession of pills.

According to the affidavit, Jeannotte was discovered asleep in the passenger seat of a vehicle Friday evening that was parked in a parking lot in northwest Minot. Jeannotte admitted to being under the influence of methamphetamine and Xanax. Jeannotte’s probation officer gave officers permission to search the vehicle. The search turned up the stolen, forged checks in Jeannotte’s wallet along with the drugs and paraphernalia.

Jeannotte was scheduled to make an initial appearance on the charges on Monday in district court in Minot.
