Charles Turner charged with possession of stolen credit cards; Jerome Abraham charged with intent to deliver marijuana

Charles Deedwin Earl Turner, 28, Minot, is charged in district court in Minot with Class C felony possession of a stolen credit card. Jerome Lavon Abraham, 30, Minot, is charged as a co-defendant with Class C felony possession with intent to deliver marijuana and Class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the Ward County Narcotics Task Force obtained a search warrant for an apartment at 301 14th Ave. SW, Apt. 3, on July 28. Credit cards belonging to Eric Matthews and Charda Grandberry, who were arrested earlier this week on charges of intent to deliver fentanyl, and had been staying at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Minot, were found in Turner’s living room. Turner, who has been employed at the Comfort Inn & Suites, told law enforcement different stories about how he came to take the cards. He claimed that he found the cards in the hotel room where Matthews and Grandberry had been staying and he had gone to the room after police took them away because he wanted to find out who had been arrested. He also said he found the cards in the hallway of the hotel, picked them up, and was going to take them back to work to return them during his next work shift.
