Louis Burgess, David Kunkel, Ivy Church-Thompson charged with drug offenses
Three people have been charged as co-defendants in a drug case Monday.
Louis Wayne Burgess, 21, Douglas, is charged with Clsas B felony attempted delivery of a controlled substance in a jail, Class C felony possession of methamphetamine, and Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia; David Robert Kunkel, 29, Minot, is charged with Class C felony possession of methamphetamine, Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of possession of marijuana, both infractions; Ivy Le’Shay Church-Thompson, 19, Glenburn, is charged with Class C felony possession of methamphetamine and Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
All three were scheduled to make initial appearances on the charges in court on Tuesday before Judge Stacy Louser.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the three were arrested following a traffic stop. About 1.5 ounces of suspected crystal meth was found following a search, along with a meth pipe and a marijuana grinder.
