Body discovered in Rugby

On Monday of this week a North Dakota Game and Fish Department officer located a deceased female inside the city of Rugby. The female, age 21, was a subject in an active missing person investigation. She was reported missing late on the evening of Feb. 28, having been missing since the early morning hours of that date from a residence in Rugby.

The deceased was found outside and is being treated as an exposure death, according to Rugby Chief of Police John Rose. The death remains under investigation pending an autopsy. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family.

The Rugby Police Department is being assisted by the Pierce County Sheriff’s Dept. and the ND Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
