Produced water, oil release occurs near Parshall

PARSHALL – EOG Resources reported Sunday that 12,600 gallons of produced water and 2,100 gallons of crude oil were released at a well site about three miles northwest of Parshall that day.

The release was “due to an equipment failure within containment on location.”

The North Dakota Oil and Gas Division was notified of the spill at the Parshall 52-1114H well. At the time of reporting all product had been recovered, state officials said.

A North Dakota Oil and Gas inspector has been to location and will monitor the investigation and any continued remediation.
