Colton Johnson, Copper Galloway, charged with intent to deliver meth, heroin

Colton Anton Johnson, 26, Minot, and Copper Lynn Galloway, 24, Berthold, are each charged in district court in Minot with Class B felony intent to deliver methamphetamine and Class B felony intent to deliver heroin. Galloway is charged with two Class C felony counts of possession of drug paraphernalia on Monday; Johnson is charged with Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia and Class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the Ward County Narcotics Task Force searched Johnson’s residence on Monday and both Johnson and Galloway were present. Officers found a digital scale with suspected methamphetamine residue, methamphetamine and heroin next to the scale, and several glass pipes in the main bedroom. Additional methamphetamine was found in a nightstand and inside a brown Coach purse in the living room. A piece of aluminum foil that contained suspected heroin was found on the floor in another bedroom. A “pay/owe” sheet recording the details of drug deals was located in both bedrooms. Cell phones belonging to Johnson and Galloway were searched and revealed that both have been involved in selling meth and heroin. Both Johnson and Galloway are on probation for earlier offenses and Probation and Parole gave permission for the search of the phones.

Both made initial appearances on the charges on Tuesday before Judge Gary Lee. Galloway said during her appearance that she had just been visiting her boyfriend, Johnson, at the time that the Task Force raided his residence and she had nothing to do with it. She said Johnson had claimed the illegal items. Judge Lee set bond for both at $7,500, with a requirement that they post 10 percent, and scheduled a preliminary hearing date for Feb. 18.
