Williston Holiday Lights Tour planned for Friday

WILLISTON – This year, in lieu of a parade, the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce will be organizing the first Holiday Lights Tour.

The Chamber is inviting all local businesses and organizations to decorate outside their offices, shops, restaurants or parking lots, or even park their regular parade float in front of their business.

On Friday, from 6-8 p.m. the public is invited to load up their families in their vehicles, grab some hot cocoa at one of the local coffee shops or kiosks and take a drive around town to see the lights, decorations and displays.

The following day is Small Business Saturday and people are encouraged to safely shop locally and visit the city’s small and locally owned businesses to kick off the Holiday Shopping Season. Everyone in the community will be able to access a map of participating businesses, courtesy of Williams County.

Voting for the best decorated business will be at willistonchamber.com through Saturday. Businesses are encouraged to leave their lights and displays up throughout the holiday season.

Lights at Harmon Park will be turned on at 6 p.m. on Friday.
