Turner-Lone Fight, Fox winners of tribal general election

NEW TOWN – Winners of the Three Affiliated Tribes’ general election for two tribal business council seats were officially certified by the Tribal Election Board. The election was held Nov. 3.

In the Mandaree Segment, Sherry Turner-Lone Fight was declared the winner. Turner received 239 votes and Harriet Goodiron received 178 votes.

Mandaree council representative Randy Phelan did not seek re-election.

In the White Shield Segment, incumbent Fred Fox was declared the winner. Fox received 281 votes and Gary Dickens received 225 votes.

During the September primary election, incumbent Dr. Monica Mayer received the majority of votes cast for the New Town/Little Shell Segment, and was declared the winner at that time. She received 420 votes.
