COVID extends court closure

An employee’s positive test result for coronavirus has resulted in an extension of the earlier announced closure of Minot Municipal Court. Municipal Court was shut down Wednesday of this week due to an employee who was experiencing coronavirus-like symptoms. Test results received Friday confirmed the employee had COVID-19.

Due to the positive test all court employees will be quarantined and all affected court appearances will be rescheduled. The initial precautionary closure of Municipal Court was to have ended next Tuesday. However, with the employee testing positive for coronavirus the closure has been extended until Monday, Nov. 9.

Municipal Court was also closed from March 28 to mid-May earlier this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
