Alexandria Priest, Minot, pleads guilty to spray-painting, egging vehicle

Alexandria Rose Priest, 19, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to Class C felony criminal mischief for spray-painting derogatory messages on another woman’s car last Feb. 21 and throwing eggs at the vehicle after sending harassing messages to the victim on social media.

Judge Todd Cresap sentenced Priest to 360 days in jail, all suspended, and two years of supervised probation. She must also pay $525 in court costs and restitution yet to be determined. The offense will be deemed a Class A misdemeanor if Priest successfully completes probation.

Her co-defendant, Deriann Leigh Foreid, 22, is also charged with Class C felony criminal mischief in district court in Minot and is also accused of spray-painting the victim’s vehicle. A preliminary hearing for Foreid is scheduled for Nov. 19 before Judge Stacy Louser.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the minimum value of the vehicle is estimated at $2,500 by one source. The cost of repainting the vehicle was estimated by a local body shop at $8,500.

According to the affidavit, both women had admitted to police that they spray-painted the vehicle and Foreid had bragged about it in a video on Facebook.

There was ongoing conflict between the women and the victim, according to the affidavit.
