Minot police say that Kyle James Desjarlais, 27, of Minot, will be charged in district court in Minot with Class C felony child neglect.

According to police, Desjarlais’s 2-year-old son was found wandering around a southeast Minot apartment complex parking lot without supervision on Thursday morning. At 11:02 a.m. on Thursday, a third party told police that Desjarlais was looking for his son. The toddler was turned over to Ward County Social Services. Desjarlais was arrested and taken to the Ward County Jail.
