Emma Weisberg, Minot, charged with intent to deliver fentanyl

Emma Marie Weisberg, 25, Minot, is charged in district court in Minot with Class B felony intent to deliver fentanyl and Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia on Tuesday.

A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for Sept. 17 before Judge Doug Mattson.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Weisberg delivered suspected heroin/fentanyl to an undercover agent working for the Ward County Narcotics Task Force sometime last week.

The Ward County Narcotics Task Force was conducting surveillance outside Weisberg’s home and saw her get into a vehicle registered to her parents and drive to the Dakota Square Mall on Tuesday afternoon. Weisberg was stopped outside the mall on Tuesday. She was searched and the search turned up several foil packets wrapped in napkins in Weisberg’s wallet. The heroin in one of the packets weighed in at approximately .7 grams. A second foil packet contained approximately .33 grams of a suspected fentanyl compound.
