David Diaz Jr. charged with trespassing at Guest Lodge

David Diaz Jr., 36, Minot, is charged with trespassing at the Guest Lodge in Minot on June 23.

He is charged with Class A misdemeanor trespass, a second or subsequent offense, in district court in Minot.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, police responded to the Guest Lodge, located at 1937 North Broadway, after they received a report of a man and a woman yelling at each other in the parking lot. Diaz had previously been convicted for trespassing at the Guest Lodge in March 2019 and had been ordered not to go there again.

In an unrelated case, Diaz was charged with Class A misdemeanor unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in district court in Stanley last month. Diaz allegedly took a yellow telehandler forklift with the keys in the ignition from the New Town Cenex station and drove it around town looking for his girlfriend. He told police he was returning the vehicle where he found it. A pretrial conference in that case is scheduled for July 23 in district court in Stanley.
