William Isaiah, Minot, charged with assaulting another man in argument over rent, interference with emergency phone call

William Hairston Isaiah, 43, Minot, is accused of assaulting another man in a fight over the rent on Wednesday and of interfering when the other man tried to make an emergency call. He also allegedly had .4 grams of methamphetamine hidden in his sock when he was searched at the Ward County Jail.

Isaiah is charged in district court in Minot with Class B felony possession of a controlled substance by an inmate, Class C felony interference with an emergency phone call, and Class B misdemeanor domestic violence causing bodily injury.

A preliminary hearing in the case is scheduled for Aug. 6.
