The Minot Area Community Foundation will host a free day at Minot’s Roosevelt Park Zoo on Tuesday from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. The free day is open to everyone.

Through a partnership with United Community Bank, a day at the zoo is being provided as something fun for the community during these stressful times.

Although the foundation’s previously planned 20th anniversary celebration events have mostly been postponed until 2021, the foundation has decided to still provide the Free Zoo Day plus a free evening swim at Roosevelt Pool on July 14 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Just over two years ago the foundation made a $500,000 grant toward the zoo’s new Amur Tiger River Valley habitat. The foundation will be launching the remainder of its 20th anniversary events in December.
