Robert Patchen Jr. named publisher at Minot Daily News

Robert Patchen Jr., 46, will be the new publisher at The Minot Daily News.

Patchen has been publisher at the Ogden Newspapers-owned Times Observer in Warren, Pa. since 2010 and circulation director there since 2007. Prior to that he had been a sports reporter and office manager.

Patchen is married to Jodi. They have three children: Noah, 20; Isaac, 15, and Seth, 13.

“Once we move to Minot, it will be the furthest west that we have traveled together as a family, so, we’re viewing this move as our next great adventure as a family. We’re very excited to move to Minot,” Patchen said in an email. “I look forward to being active in the community and look forward to becoming part of the community. Newspapers are the bedrock of the communities they represent and I’m extremely honored to be named publisher of The Minot Daily News. With the challenges of COVID-19, our plan is to move to North Dakota in early July.”
