Submitted Photo Vehicles parade up and down Main Street in Bottineau Wednesday night during the town’s “Night on Main,” an event that is popping up in various communities in the Minot region. More than 100 vehicles showed up to cruise Main after Sally Jelleberg of Bottineau proposed an evening out for the community that wouldn’t jeopardize the coronavirus social distancing rules. Jelleberg said she suggested the event on Facebook to give the youth a sense of what life was like up until the mid-1990s when cruising Main went out of favor. Music was cranked, cars were decorated and families were waving and greeting neighbors. “It was whole families in cars and all ages,” Jelleberg said. “It was so much fun. Everybody was smiling.”
