Cook up healthy appetizers for the holidays

Trinity Health’s Nutrition Services Department will offer a cooking class, “Healthy Holiday Bites,” Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Trinity Health Community Conference Room at Town & Country Center.

Outpatient Dietitian Kayla Cole will share recipes that are sure to please family and friends while helping them stay healthy during the holidays. Participants will get to sample the results.

“We’ll feature healthy recipe updates for some holiday favorite appetizers and small bites,” Cole said. “Some likely picks are baked chicken wings, healthy stuffed mushrooms, and a healthy dip.”

There will be a $10 charge to cover recipes and food samples. Space is limited. Registration is required by calling 857-5268 by Dec. 9. The program is a part of a year-long series of grocery tours and cooking classes to promote healthier eating.
