Sarai Bultron Lopez, 26, is accused of spitting in the face of a police officer who was trying to arrest her for being drunk and disorderly in New Town early Monday and then of kicking the officer in the groin while resisting arrest.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, officers responded to the Fox Run Apartments in New Town shortly after midnight Monday after they received a report that Lopez was drunk and the resident wanted her to be removed from the apartment. She was loud, drunk, and disorderly and physically resisted officers who tried to handcuff her. She was medically cleared and then taken to jail.

She was scheduled to make an initial appearance on Tuesday before North Central District Court Judge Richard Hagar. She is charged in district court with two Class C felonies.
