Terrance Johnson Jr., Minot, charged with robbery, terrorizing

Terrance D. Johnson Jr., 18, Minot, is accused of robbery with a dangerous weapon and of holding a firearm to a woman’s head on Sept. 10.

Johnson made an initial appearance on the Class B felony robbery and Class C felony terrorizing charges on Tuesday via interactive video from the Ward County Jail in district court in Minot before Judge Stacy Louser.

Johnson vehemently denied the allegations.

“I wasn’t there,” Johnson told the judge.

Johnson said he was at home all day during the incident and law enforcement should check his phone to determine his location at the time.

Johnson told the judge he wants to apply for a court-appointed lawyer.

Louser set bond at $250,000 cash or corporate surety and ordered Johnson to have no contact with the alleged victim. She also ordered Johnson to surrender any weapons he has in his possession to law enforcement as a bond condition.

“I don’t have none,” Johnson retorted.

As a correctional officer led him out of the room, an unhappy Johnson was muttering under his breath. The officer told him to have “respect!”

“Where’s my respect?” said Johnson, who said again that he had nothing to do with the incident.
