Man identified in fatal motorcycle crash

The North Dakota Highway Patrol identified a Canadian man killed in a motorcycle crash on Sunday near Grassy Butte as Randy Moore, 55, of Warman, Sask.

According to the Patrol, Moore was headed south on U.S. Highway 85, on his way to Sturgis, S.D. He was traveling at 70 mph with a group of motorcycles. Witnesses said a northbound vehicle crossed over the centerline into the southbound lane and Moore swerved to miss the northbound vehicle and lost control of the motorcycle. His motorcycle tipped to the ground. Moore, who was wearing a helmet, was dead at the scene of the crash.

The accident happened at 3:21 p.m. Sunday a mile south of Grassy Butte.
