The Minot Area Chamber of Commerce and Women Connect will sponsor “Back on My Feet: Changing Perceptions, Changing Lives” on Sept. 12 from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Grand Hotel, Minot.

The event was previously scheduled for June 4, but presenter Anne Mahlum was unable to attend at that time due to an accident, according to a news release.

Mahlum is the founder, owner and CEO of a boutique fitness company, (solidcore), which she founded in Washington, D.C., in 2013. In five years, she has grown her company to 43 locations with more than 100,000 clients.

Mahlum’s personal story and work with “Back on My Feet” is an example of how change happens. In this program, she shows that everyone needs the same things in life to grow and succeed, to be noticed, to be appreciated, to be valued and to be cared for. She teaches that changing the way people see ourselves and their circumstances is at the core of change and that only then can they begin to move out of their comfort zones and create real and lasting change in their lives. Using grace and lots of humor, Mahlum takes audiences on an emotional journey to help them feel motivated, purposeful and empowered to create real change in their lives.

Cost is $40 for military, $50 for members, and $60 for non-members. Registration can be done at the Chamber website at minotchamber.org.
