Samantha Khan, Minot, sentenced to time served, probation for felony criminal trespass

Samantha Lee Khan, 30, Minot, was sentenced to two years in prison, all suspended but the 24 days she has already served, and two years of supervised probation on Aug. 9 for trespassing at a stranger’s residence on July 9.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Khan started ringing a doorbell at a residence and then went in through the back door. The male resident came out of a room and ordered her to leave. Khan then went outside and began walking around to the front of the house. The victim grabbed his gun and followed her to the front of the house. Khan was yelling at the man, “We just slept together yesterday.”

She told police that her boyfriend had cheated on her and pointed towards the male resident of the house. The male resident told police he had never met Khan and she did not have permission to be at his residence.

Judge Gary Lee also ordered Khan to obtain a chemical dependency evaluation and to have no contact with the victim.
