Timothy Foster, Kelly Schooler charged with breaking into motor vehicle, stealing items
Timothy Milton Foster, 41, and Kelly Jean Schooler, 51, Minot, are accused of breaking into a motor vehicle on Delmar Court on Sunday and stealing a purse containing ID, cash and a debit card.
Schooler and Foster are each charged in district court in Minot with conspiracy to commit unlawful entry into a vehicle to commit a crime, a Class C felony. Foster is also charged with possession of stolen property, a Class C felony. Schooler later pleaded guilty in Minot Municipal Court to Class B misdemeanor possession of stolen property.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, a witness spotted the pair at about 12:44 a.m. on Sunday, tried to speak with them and they took off running. Schooler dropped a purse in the roadway before she started running. When Foster was detained and searched, he had two North Dakota driver’s licenses with a victim’s name on them and a bank debit card belonging to the victim and $14 in her purse. Schooler was in possession of a purse with an insurance card bearing a victim’s name. Schooler claimed she had found the purse when she was dumpster diving. Foster denied knowing anything about the second purse that was dropped in the roadway.
