Alex Peltier, Minot, charged with breaking into coin-operated machines at different locations

Alex Roy Peltier, 25, Minot, is accused of breaking into coin-operated laundry machines and arcade games and stealing coins at different locations in January and early February.

He is charged with one count of Class C felony criminal mischief and four counts of Class A misdemeanor criminal mischief in district court in Minot.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Peltier and another man were seen in a laundry room in an apartment building at 901 22nd Avenue NW on Jan. 4. The apartment manager reported that the soap dispensing machines and the dryer had both been broken into and all the coins were stolen. The cost of repairs was estimated at $3,085. Seth Dorscher allegedly admitted to being with Peltier on that occasion and acting as a lookout.

Peltier is also accused of breaking into arcade machines at the Comfort Suites in Minot on Jan. 5. The cost of repairs to the machines was more than $100.

On Jan. 12, Peltier allegedly broke into the arcade machines at North Hill Bowl in Minot. Cost of repairs to the machines was estimated at more than $100.

On Feb. 3, Peltier allegedly broke into the coin-operated machines at Splashdown and stole money.Cost of the repairs there was more than $100.
