Brine, oil release occurs at Fortuna well site
FORTUNA – A tank leak caused the release of 300 barrels of brine and 10 barrels of oil at a well site at a Divide County well site on March 6.
The North Dakota Oil and Gas Division was notified on Monday by Future Acquisition Company, LLC. of the release occurring at the Heckman 7-6-1H well, about four miles southwest of Fortuna.
All product has been recovered and was contained on-site within diking, according to a news release. A state inspector has been to the location and will monitor any additional cleanup needed.
