Jessica Besselman, Minot, sentenced to 10 years for delivery of meth

Jessica Leigh Besselman, 40, was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Wednesday for delivering 10.48 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant working for the Ward County Narcotics Task Force on Aug. 30, 2017. The meth cost $600.

The 10 year flat sentence is mandatory because Besselman has other drug delivery convictions.

Under the terms of the plea deal, the state dropped a second Class B felony charge of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance.

Besselman will receive credit for 252 days already served in jail and 36 days of good time earned. She was also ordered to pay $600 in restitution and $775 in court costs.

Co-defendant Zachary Berry was sentenced to three years, with a requirement that he serve 18 months, and two years of supervised probation for a Class B felony conspiracy to deliver meth charge
