Colt Hudson, Minot, given deferred sentence for delivery of marijuana

Colt James Hudson, 23, Minot, received a deferred imposition of sentence for one year on Tuesday for possession with intent to deliver marijuana on Nov. 5.

Court records show that Judge Todd Cresap also sentenced him to the 22 days he has already served in jail, plus two years of supervised probation, ordered him to obtain a chemical dependency evaluation, and ordered him to pay $775 in court costs.

If Hudson successfully completes probation, the Class B felony charge will be dismissed.

Hudson’s girlfriend, Briana Song McGuire, 20, received a deferred imposition of sentence for three years on a felony delivery of marijuana charge earlier this month.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the court, the Ward County Narcotics Task Force arranged to buy an ounce of marijuana from Hudson via Facebook Messenger and McGuire delivered the marijuana for $250 in a parking lot at 525 Park Street SW.

Also charged in relation to the incident were Todd Henry Hudson, 49, and Erika Lorraine Von Sadler, 40. Charges against them are still pending.

Starting at $2.99/week.
