Northwest Arts Center reception on Thursday

People can stop in at the Northwest Arts Center’s Walter Piehl Gallery for a few moments after work on Thursday, June 28, to meet a local artist, enjoy art and partake of light refreshments as the center hosts a reception for Williston photographer Jamie Azevedo from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Azevedo’s exhibit, “The Female Gaze,” is on display at the Piehl Gallery in the lower level of the Gordon B. Olson Library through Aug. 3. Also featured are “Women’s Point of View,” an offering of works from the MSU Permanent Art Collection by female artists, and selected pieces from Walter Piehl’s recent retrospective exhibit.

The exhibits and reception are free and open to the public. Regular gallery hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Parking and visitor entrance are on the south side of the library. A visitor parking pass is available at the gallery office; parking in campus lots is unrestricted after 5 p.m.
