MOHALL – The North Dakota Oil and Gas Division was notified of a release of brine and oil occurring Tuesday at the Rice-Ashiem central tank battery, about eight miles east of Mohall.

31 Operating reported Tuesday that 350 barrels of brine and 420 gallons of oil were released and contained within the diking on site due to an electronic alarm failure. All but one barrel of oil was recovered at the time of reporting.

A state inspector has been to the location and will monitor additional clean-up.
