Berthold police apprehended a suspect in a Williston robbery Wednesday afternoon, according to a press release.

Travis Nevarez, 21, Williston, and Kylie Wold, 29, Williston, were taken into custody following a high speed pursuit through the Berthold and Des Lacs area. Berthold Police Chief Al Schmidt says he had stopped the car for reckless driving and it turned into a pursuit. The pair were taken into custody after the car left the roadway in Des Lacs. The high school in Des Lacs was briefly put on lockdown during the incident.

Williston police had taken a report earlier in the day of a robbery. Nevarez had allegedly taken $1,100 and fled the scene.

Schmidt said in the press release that a large amount of cash was seized from Nevarez after he was arrested. Methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and concealed weapons were also seized from the vehicle following a search. Both Nevarez and Wold were taken to the Ward County Jail.
