Minot man sentenced for theft, ordered to pay restitution
A 24-year-old Minot man will serve 18 months in prison and was ordered to pay combined restitution of $4,093.68 after pleading guilty to Class C felony theft of property charges on Wednesday.
Andrew Allen Schell will be on supervised probation for three years following his release. The sentence is concurrent with a sentence in another case.
As part of a plea deal, the state agreed not to prosecute another theft case, but Schell must pay restitution in that case.
Schell must also pay $1,100 in court costs.
A theft of property charge was dismissed against a man who had been charged as a co-defendant, Colin John Kuwik.
According to court documents, Schell stole more than $3,000 and a pair of boots valued at $250 from a parked vehicle in 2017.
