Vietnam Veterans Celebration set for March 29

Plans are being made for the seventh annual Vietnam Veterans Celebration to be held at the Grand Hotel in Minot March 29 from 5-7 p.m.

The Grand Hotel is a new location for the event hosted by the Minot Vet Center.

March 29 is National Vietnam War Veterans Day, a day to recognize the sacrifices veterans and their families made during the Vietnam War. In 2017, President Trump officially set the date as March 29.

Louis “Mac” McLeod will be emcee for the program and Capt. John Hammack of the 5th Medical Group at Minot Air Force Base, guest speaker.

Food and refreshments will be available, first come, first served.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars will post the colors and the American Legion will perform the retiring of the colors.

The event is a community event and everyone is welcome. For more information call the Minot Vet Center at 852-0177.
