Accused drug dealer charged again

A 33-year-old accused drug dealer is facing additional drug charges.
Brandon Shawn Adams was arrested Tuesday after police conducted a probation search of his room at the Vegas Motel in Minot. According to a probable cause affidavit filed with the courts, they found eight oxycontin pills, methamphetamine, and a digital scale with drug residue along with a loaded handgun. Adams is now charged with possession of oxycodone with intent to deliver, a Class A felony carrying a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a $20,000 fine, and three Class C felonies, including possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and felon in possession of a firearm. Each Class C felony carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
Adams and his girlfriend, McKenzie Lynn Ross, 18, were arrested last November on charges that they intended to deliver methamphetamine and oxycodone. In that case, Adams is charged with Class A felony possession with intent to deliver and Class C felony possession with intent to deliver. He was also charged with Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class B misdemeanor. He is also charged with possession of meth, a Class C felony.
Adams is also facing four Class C felonies from Nov. 10, 2016, including two counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of prohibited possession of a firearm by a felon.
