MANDAREE A lightning strike causing a fire resulted in the release of 92,400 gallons of brine at a saltwater disposal well about seven miles northwest of Mandaree.

Bosque Disposal Systems, LLC reported Monday the brine was released, contained and recovered from the fire at the Jessica SWD1 site, according to the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division. A state inspector has visited the location.
