Minot City Council

When: Monday, 5 p.m.

Where: Minot City Hall, council chambers, 10 3rd Ave. SW

Agenda: The council will meet in executive session to discuss a city manager’s contract. The regular council meeting begins at 5:30 p.m., when the council will consider changing the distribution of the first penny of sales tax, a local preference bidding policy and the 2026 budget on final reading. It will act on creating a part-time licensed police officer program and a job description for a program management analyst in the police department in 2026.

Ward County Commission

When: Tuesday, 8:30 a.m.

Where: Ward County Administration Building, commission chambers

Agenda: The commission will meet in executive session to discuss rental negotiations for the administration building’s fourth floor. At 9 a.m., the commission will meet in regular session to discuss DAV plaques, rental of county land for a garden plot in East Side Estates, zoning recommendations, a sheriff’s request to use asset forfeiture refunds to purchase new radar units, a correctional facility grant program, Vision Zero contract, highway department equipment purchase, an Enbridge grant to Ward County Emergency Management, liquor license request from Meat Street of rural Minot and an election equipment memorandum of understanding with the state. The commission will receive a report from the Central Dakota Metropolitan Planning Organization and caucus with Region 2 county commissioners to consider representation and possible resolutions at the upcoming North Dakota Association of Counties annual conference.

Minot School Board

When: Tuesday, 5 p.m.

Where: Administration Building Board Room, 215 2nd St. SE

Agenda: The board will consider the 2025-26 budget and 2025 tax levy on final reading. It will consider sale of property and consider Governance Committee recommendations.

Minot Planning Commission

When: Tuesday, 5:30 p.m.

Where: Minot City Hall, council chambers, 10 3rd Ave. SW

Agenda: Full Steam Ahead is requesting a permit in a residential area for an indoor recreational facility for science and technology education in southwest Minot. The commission will consider a request for a front yard setback variance in a multi-residence district in northwest Minot, a permit for a wireless communication tower in an agricultural district along the Highway 2 Bypass East and an ordinance text amendment.
