Pop on over for Fall Pops Concert

A decades old tradition of a fall concert continues to be followed as the Minot Chamber Chorale puts on its Fall Pops Concert today at the Grand Hotel. Featuring a variety of Broadway music and show tunes, the show has become a highlight of their season.

The Fall Pops Concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Free to the public with a free will offering. The Chorale will also be bringing in a cash bar and snacks to be enjoyed. It will feature directions by Teresa Hargrove and Terri Rubbert as Associate Conductors. Each have earned masters degrees recently.

“We are highlighting the recent accomplishments of two of our members and highlighting their talent,” Bob Demke explained. “They have rehearsed and will each direct a selection for the concert. We are extremely proud of the many talents our members possess.”

Alongside the feature of the two associate conductors, the Minot Chamber Chorale is bringing in featured group Vox Humana. The group is made up of Minot State University students.

A goal of the Chorale is to promote and collaborate with local talent, especially young talent. They are proud to feature the energetic and talented group of MSU students.

“Concert goers are in for a real treat,” Demke said.

They will be performing a variety of music from Leonard Bernstein’s medley from “West Side Story” to an Andrew Lloyd Webber medley including“Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Phantom of the Opera” to seasonal tunes like “Autumn Leaves.”
