Cemetery services

During the week before Memorial Day there will be a short prayer service at two cemeteries in Minot, conducted by local Catholic priests and deacons. The services will be held on Monday, May 20, at 7 p.m. at Rosehill Memorial Cemetery and on Thursday, May 23, at 7:30 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The priests and deacons will then be available to bless the graves of people’s loved ones with holy water after the services. People of all faith traditions are welcome to attend these services.

Russian Harvest Ministries presentation Sunday at Lighthouse Church

Lighthouse Church, located at 1400 5th Street SW in Minot, will host Russian Harvest Ministries on Sunday at its 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. services. Russian Harvest Ministries co-founder Jill Mehl will share about the evangelism and church planting in areas of the former Soviet Union in Ukraine and Moldova as well as in Poland. Joining her will be Kareen Zelfimian, part of the overseas team.

Prairie Gospel Quartet to perform Sunday at Lighthouse Church

Prairie Gospel Quartet will hold a concert at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Lighthouse Church, 1400 5th Street SW in Minot. The quartet was started in 1977 by four former Northwest Bible College students. The 2019 members are Don Beckman, Perry Moll, Dave Van Gorkom and one of the original members, Howard Gunderson.

Rummage sale to be held May 4 at Bethany Lutheran Church

Bethany Lutheran Church in Minot will hold its annual rummage and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 4. Pie and coffee will be served during the sale starting at 8:30 a.m. Funds raised from the sale are distributed to local charities every December by Bethany Lutheran Church Women’s Organization.
