City Serve ND to kick off week-long community outreach project

The Pursuit Church in Minot is set to kick off a week-long community outreach program called City Serve ND. The program began in 2021 as a one-day event, with members of the church going out into the community to fulfill community needs, share the love of Christ and help with service projects. This year’s program will be a full week, starting Tuesday May 31, until June 4. The Pursuit of Minot along with nine other area churches have gathered 500 volunteers to perform service projects all over Minot. Pilots for Christ 10th Annual Fly-in & Golf Ball Drop set for June 12

MADDOCK — The J.T. Rice North Dakota Chapter of Pilots for Christ will be holding its 10th annual Fly-In Celebration and Golf Ball Drop at the Maddock Airport on, Sunday, June 12. The fly-in begins at 10 a.m. with an all-faiths service and a complimentary lunch to follow. Each attendee will receive a complimentary numbered golf ball and matching ticket when arriving. Following lunch, the group will drop the numbered golf balls from a helicopter at a target (golf flag). The closest ball to the target will win a new drone as the grand prize. Minot students are among those selected to attend the North Dakota Leadership Seminar June 3-5 at the University of Jamestown in Jamestown. Bishop Ryan Catholic School students attending the seminar will be Christian Lormejuste and Chuka Osuala. Minot High School-Central Campus students Cole Guttormson and May Nash and Our Redeemer’s Christian School students Elise Altringer, Triniti Gregg, and Aubrey Griedl will also attend the event. Pastor held captive at local daycare

Little Legends Child Development Center of Minot reports it has taken the pastor of Vincent United Methodist Church hostage – for a good cause. Pastor Mark Ehmantraut is deemed to be on “Diaper Duty” until the daycare’s demands are met. “Once VUMC has received $500 worth of baby item donations or cash, the daycare will release the pastor from the dreaded “Diaper Duty,” said Brenda Hansen and Kelly Ruland, owners of Little Legends Child Development Center. Ukrainian pastor to speak Friday at West Minot Church of God

Pastor Kaaren Zelfimyan, of Odessa, Ukraine, will give a presentation at 6:30 p.m. Friday at West Minot Church of God, located at 1105 16th Street NW in Minot. Zelfimyan and co-founder of Russian Harvest Ministries Jill Mehl are being hosted by the church. Zelfimyan will speak about the ministries and Christians now facing the war in Ukraine.
