Parade, treat event set in Surrey

A costume parade and trunk or treat event will be held Friday, Oct. 31, in Surrey. The parade lineup begins at Surrey City Hall at 5:15 p.m., and the parade march will conclude in the Hope Lutheran parking lot, where the trunk or treat will take place from 5:30-7 p.m. There will be free snacks and cocoa indoors.

Soon after I arrived in Minot in 1977, Dr. Vern Reardon contacted me about the monthly meeting of the Minot Dental Society. The group gathered at the Sheraton Riverside the first Wednesday every month for dinner and an educational presentation by one of the members. I looked forward to meeting and getting to know Minot dentists. Dr. Reardon met me a bit early outside the restaurant and introduced each dentist as they arrived.
