Annual community Festival of Nativities set for Dec. 5-6

The annual Minot Community Festival of Nativities is being held Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6, offering two evenings of holiday displays, community music and family activities at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3740 Crossing St. SW. Special allocation lottery application deadline

Nonprofit organizations eligible to receive big game hunting licenses in 2026 must have the application submitted to the North Dakota Game and Fish Department no later than Jan. 1. North Dakota state law provides direction for the Game and Fish director to allocate big game hunting licenses to eligible organizations. Area food pantry seeks support to carry on

MAKOTI – Community Food Pantry in Makoti took a major hit recently with the loss of a major donor, but it continues to do what it can for residents of the several rural communities who rely on its services. Pantry coordinator Kathy Kimball said the pantry continues to offer drive-by pickups the fourth Saturday of each month (the third Saturday in December due to the holiday), from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., although its supplies now are reduced.
