Game and Fish volunteers recognized

Volunteer instructors for the North Dakota Game and Fish Department were recently honored at the annual recognition event in Bismarck.

William Bahm, Almont, was recognized as hunter education instructor of the year and Kevin Lech, Mandan, was named archery education instructor of the year. Dickinson resident Walter Turbiville was honored with a lifetime achievement award.

Thirty-year service awards were presented to Leonard Enander, Granville; Dean Anderson, Grand Forks; Wayne Beyer, Wahpeton; Darwin Gebhardt, Lake Elmo, Minn.; Jerome Koenig, Steele; Jack Lalor, Lidgerwood; Charles Meikle, Spiritwood; David Nelson, Grand Forks; Gary Nilsson, Walhalla; David Urlacher, Belfield.

Included in those recognized for 25 years of service were Rick Olson, Garrison and Mark Weyrauch, Ray.

Among those honored for 20 years of service were Lynn Baltrusch, Fesseden; Mitchell Kallias, Minot; Lynn Lawler, Cando; Richard Liesener, Ray and Marvin Neumiller, Washburn.

Fifteen-year service awards were presented to several volunteers, including Jonathan Hughes, Minot; Kent Reierson, Williston; Dallas Schmidt, Velva; Joe Tuchscherer, Rugby and Gary Wilz, Killdeer.

Among the 10-year active instructors recognized were Kendon Faul, McClusky; Cassie Felber, Towner; Kevin Harris, Watford City; Petrina Krenzel, Harvey; Michael Kroh, Surrey; Richard Lehmann, Towner; Mike Redmond, Ray; Antoine Smith, New Town and Lavern Vance, Ray.

Five years of service award presentations included Daniel Sem, Minot; Darcy Aberle, Williston; Nathan Neameyer, Rolla; Melanie Nelson, Harvey; Eric Poitra, Dunseith; Kori Schantz, Underwood; Kristofer Schmidt, Washburn and Andrew Zickur, Glenburn.

Two-year active instructors recognized included Charles Betts, Minot; Jordan Peterson, Minot; Timothy Smith, Burlington; Joel Bohm, Mohall; Larry Derr, Glenburn; Michael Deville, Mandaree; Christopher Eng, Underwood; Kresta Hauge, Ray; Steve Rehak, Williston and Monty Sailer, Hazen.
