Annual Fort Union Rendezvous set for June 12-15

WILLISTON – The 42nd Annual Fort Union Rendezvous will take place as scheduled from Thursday, June 12, through Sunday, June 15, at the Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site near Williston. Former Minot AFB missile officer to discuss UAPs

A former Minot Air Force Base Minuteman intercontinental ballistic missile officer who was involved with a 1966 UFO incident in the Minot missile field, will be a member of a “UAP (unidentified aerial phenomena) and Nukes Panel: Disturbing Confrontations Over Nuclear Bases” on Friday during the Contact in the Desert Conference. Military Day at the Park set for June 6

Military Day at the Park will be held at Oak Park on Friday, June 6, according to the Minot Area Chamber-EDC. Food will be served to all military and their families from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be bounce houses and yard games for the children. Families can visit Roosevelt Park Zoo for free admission that day with military ID. They also can get free admission to the zoo on Wednesdays throughout the month of June. Free skating is available at Maysa Arena from noon-2 p.m. with military ID.
