For those not familiar with the delivery process, when a futures contract nears expiration it goes into the delivery period and first notice day is when the first deliveries can appear. Grants awarded to three small businesses

TIOGA – Three small businesses received grants Oct. 17 as part of the REV pitch competition conducted by The Bank of Tioga in partnership with the Tioga Area Economic Development Corp. Fifteen applications were received in this year’s small business pitch competition. GameDay Media of Tioga received $6,500 to expand its technology for broadcasts of local and regional events. Grow Crosby LLC, which operates the ByPass Restaurant & Lounge in Crosby, received $4,500 to build a website and the Cleaning Genie in Tioga received $4,000 to add commercial window cleaning to its services.

Follow through for bonds and stocks U.S. Treasury bonds made new lows for the year again this past week with the 30-year U.S. T-bond sinking to 108.9 and the 10-year T-note hitting 106.11, levels not seen since August of 2007. Stock Indices were lower this past week as well but managed a sizable bounce back to close the week on Friday. News of more labor openings than expected, and an additional 336,000 jobs added in September fueled the thoughts of more inflation and a Fed that will have to hike rates again. BISMARCK – The Economic Development Association of North Dakota (EDND) elected its 2023-2025 board of directors and officer team during its Sept. 13 Annual Membership Meeting in Bowman.
