North Dakota Farmers Union Insurance, based in Jamestown, announced that Shaun Sipma of Minot was the top producer of life insurance sales for the company for April.

Sipma has been with North Dakota Farmers Union Insurance in Minot since 2013, after working 15 years in the broadcast industry.

“Being an insurance agent enables me to help people better manage risk. This is an area I’m extremely passionate about as my family endured the 2011 Mouse River Flood. I’m proud to say we have rebuilt our own home and continue to live in Minot in the very same neighborhood,” he said.

Sipma also has served as a volunteer for Farm Rescue and as a member of the Minot City Council from 2016 until elected to a four-year term as mayor in 2018.
