New owner looks to bring back dry cleaning in Minot

There is light at the end of the tunnel for those looking for dry cleaning in Minot. Cameron Law of Minot is the new owner of City Laundry & Dry Cleaning, which has been shuttered since mid-March after the previous owner experienced medical issues. Law said he had intended to have the dry cleaner back up sooner, but that he has encountered a number of road blocks.

The original plan was simply to operate out of the old City Laundry location on North Broadway. Law said an alternative plan had to be found after U-Haul, which owns the building, wanted to use the space themselves. Law found a new location nearby and purchased the former Roll-N-Pin Restaurant with the intention of remodeling it into a laundry and dry cleaners. He has acquired a building permit with the city and is working daily to get the new location up and running.

However, Law indicated that a number of issues with the building’s electrical and plumbing is gumming up the remodeling process and delaying him from opening his doors. That said, Law expects to opening his doors during the first quarter of 2023, eyeing an opening day sometime in March.
